i discovered the works of henri cartier-bresson whilst visiting the museum of modern art a few days ago, as his work was featured in an exhibit. what really struck me about his work was that he captured what many would describe as passing and fleeting snapshots of everyday life, albeit cartier-bresson's photos were able to portray a sense of genuine honesty within his surroundings and in my opinion could be considered much more than a mere snapshot; in fact, i'd even define them as cinematic. his portraits especially captivated me, as he characterized and epitomized his subjects so brilliantly, that their personality and their essence became completely evident and crystal clear through these photos.
i really hope you will enjoy his work as much as i have.
